Biography

Kálmán Szury was a footballer with BAK who helped them place third at the Hungarian amateur championship in 1911/12. From 1912 to 1913, he played three times on the national team and also competed at the 1912 Stockholm Olympics. In 1913, Szury moved to Nagyvárad SC and to Törekvés the following year. He was a powerful, extremely energetic mid-fielder, although he was not so much a technical as an elegant player. He was not an attacking threat, but his defense was firm.
