Biography

Although he started his career with GS Bolognese (1919-20), Gastone Baldi played defense and midfield for Bologna FC from 1920-33, winning Italian titles in 1924/25 and 1928/29. They also won the Coppa dell’Europa Centrale, later called the Mitropa Cup, in 1932. Baldi played 269 club matches with 18 goals. He was capped three times for the Italian national team, including two friendlies against Switzerland and Hungary, and one match at the 1924 Olympics.
