Biography

Giuseppe Casari, known as Beppe, was a goalkeeper who débuted with his local club, Atalanta, in the 1944 regional championship and played in Serie A in 1945. He started in goal for Italy at the 1948 Olympics and was on the 1950 Italian World Cup team, playing in the match against Sweden. He was capped four times for Italy in total. Casari played for Atalanta from 1944-50, making 170 appearances, and then was with Napoli from 1950-53 (107 appearances) and finished his career with Padova from 1953-56 (54 appearances).
