Biography

A midfielder with the victorious 1989 and 1990 A. C. Milan European Cup winning teams, Angelo Colombo spent eight years in Serie A. He played for U.S. Avellino (1985), Udinese Calcio (1986-87), Milan (1988-90) and A.S. Bari (1991-92), scoring 16 goals.

Colombo retired from football in 1992 but made a comeback two years later when he joined the Australian club Sydney Marconi Stallions, before finally retiring for good at the end of the 1994/95 season. Colombo never won a senior international cap, but made seven appearances for the Italian under-23 team. He also played in five matches at the 1988 Seoul Olympics when Italy finished fourth.
