Biography

Francesco Pernigo was a forward who played with his hometown team, Venezia, from 1938-47 in 197 matches, scoring 70 goals. He helped them win the 1941 Coppa Italia in two matches against AS Roma, but did not play in the final matches. After leaving Venezia, Pernigo was with FC Modena in Serie A, playing 69 matches and scoring 28 goals. Pernigo played both matches for Italy at the 1948 Olympics, scoring four goals in the match against the United States.
