Biography

Van Breda Kolff remains the youngest person to play on the Dutch national football team, making his debut at age 17 in a match versus Belgium in 1911. He scored in that match as well, although it would turn out to be his only international goal in 11 matches. He emigrated to the United States after the First World War, and became a banker. His son, Butch van Breda Kolff (VBK), played in the NBA and became a well-known basketball coach, both in college and the NBA.
