Biography

Brent Goulet played college soccer at Warner Pacific College in Portland, Oregon, an NAIA school. He was the dominant scorer on the team during his career, helping them place third in 1984 at the NAIA Championship. While in school he played for FC Portland in the Western Soccer Alliance, joining them in 1986 and was league MVP in 1987. He later played for FC Seattle.

Goulet was with the US National team from 1986-90, earning eight caps, and playing in the 1988 Seoul Olympics. He also played for the US Futsal team from 1987-89, earning 12 caps in that variant sport. Goulet played in England for several years with AFC Bournemouth, alternating with time in America, where he played with the Seattle Storm and the indoor Tacoma Stars.

In 1990 Goulet moved to Germany, starting with Bonner SC in the Oberliga. He later played for Tennis Borussia Berlin, Rot-Weiß Oberhausen, Wuppertaler SV, and SV Elversberg, retiring from the pitch in 2001. He then became an assistant coach at SV Elversberg, and was promoted to head coach in 2004, before he was released in 2008. Returning to the United States, Goulet coached the Nashville Metros, and worked as a scout with the US Developent Academy.
