In 1912, Hans Eiler Pedersen was a member of the Danish gymnastics team that won silver behind Sweden in the Swedish system at the Stockholm Olympics. Later, he married Olga Asta Bonfils, a Frenchwoman.

Pedersen took the teacher’s exam at Skaarup Seminarium 1911 and a year’s course at the State Gymnastics Institute 1911-12. He then took a year’s course in English, Danish, and Swedish and went on a study trip to England 1912-13.

He later became a temporary worker at the Municipality of København and a permanent employee at Nyboder School in 1919 also working on the Preliminary Course from 1920-27.
