Biography

Mikko Saarinen was a Finnish light-middleweight boxer. Saarinen was the Nordic champion in 1969 and 1970 and the Finnish national champion from 1969 to 1972. He fought in the light-middleweight class at the 1972 München Olympics where he defeated David Attan before losing to Peter Tiepold. After the Olympics Saarinen won all five of his fights as a professional before he retired from the sport.
