Biography

In 1985 Kathy Strahm graduated from the Indiana University School of Law in Indianapolis and then worked as a public defender and a deputy prosecutor. Strahm also had her own private law practice and worked as an attorney for the Indiana Department of Natural Resources. In addition to law she was also a softball official, earning her international level umpire certificate in 1987. She umpired at several major international events including the women’s World Championships, the Pan American Games, and the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. Also in 1996 Strahm was inducted into the Indianapolis Softball Hall of Fame.
