Biography

Phil Erenberg was 1932 US Champion in Indian Club Swinging as well as winning a silver medal in the event at the 1932 Olympics. He came from a Jewish family and was born in the part of Russia which is now Belarus. He came to the United States at the age of three, the family first settling in Chicago and then Los Angeles. Erenberg later earned his medical degree from the University of California at Irvine and become a practicing doctor. He worked for over 50 years in the same Los Angeles practice, both as an obstetrician and general practitioner.
