Biography

Center Peter Neuhaus belonged to the West German handball team that finished sixth after losing the match for fifth place 17-16 against the Soviet Union at the 1972 München Olympics. He won 79 international caps and scored 41 goals.

Domestically, Neuhaus played with TuS Wellinghofen from 1966-76. He then turned to coaching and coached mainly OSC Dortmund between 1976-83 and again 1988-92, and, since 2012, has coached their youth teams. He also coached TSC Eintracht Dortmund (1983-87) and HSG Schwerte (1992-98). Neuhaus was employed by the municipality of his hometown Dortmund and rose up through the ranks to become head of the housing office. In 2012, he retired.
