Biography

István Marosi was a handball player who competed at the 1972 Olympics and at the World Championships of 1964, 1967, and 1970. In 1979 Marosi became the coach of Ózdi Kohász. He later worked as an Executive Chairman of the Hungarian Handball Federation from 1983-94. From 1994-2002 Marosi served as chairman of the Borsod County Federation and then led the Ethics Committee of the Hungarian Handball Federation. In 2017 the Ózd City Sports Hall was named in his honor.
