Fred Marhenke was a West German judoka who finished fifth at the 1976 Montréal Olympics in the middleweight class. From 1972-76 he earned five consecutive national titles in this class, and in 1977 won nationals as a light-middleweight. Marhenke was affiliated with VfL Wolfsburg and worked as an automotive engineer with Volkswagen.
