Manfred Ruthner was an Austrian rower who participated in the 1972 München Olympics. He was a member of the eights that came 12th, as the last boat in the B-final. Domestically, he rowed with 1. Wiener (Vienna) Ruderclub LIA. Ruthner later became a sports journalist with the Austrian TV channel ORF.
