Falk Huste

German featherweight boxer Falk Huste, brother of Kay Huste, participated in the 1996 Atlanta, and 2000 Sydney Olympics. He was eliminated in the quarter-finals in 1996, but failed to reach the quarters four years later. From 1993-95, and in 1999, Huste was German national champion.

In 1994, Huste won the prestigious Chemie Cup at Halle on Saale, the World Cup at Bangkok, and the Military World Championships. He won the Chemie Cup again in 1996-97, and 1999. At the World Championships he won a bronze medal in 1995 and silver in 1997. He also added another bronze at the 2000 Europeans. In 1997, he was ranked number one on the world list. Huste retired the year after the Sydney Games. Huste later became a boxing coach at the Regional Sports High School Frankfurt on Oder and joined the national coaching team for youth boxers.
