Austrian rifle sports shooter Dieter Grabner qualified for the 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympics. He was eliminated in the preliminary round of the 10 metres air rifle event and finished tied 18th.
Internationally, Grabner won two individual bronze medals, at the 1997 World and 1999 European Championships. He also won a team silver medal and a team bronze medal at the 2003 Europeans. Grabner also won several national titles.
