Christian Tauson acquired a master’s degree in forestry from the University of Copenhagen. He later worked as an estate inspector at Bækkeskov and Lerchenborg manor houses on the Danish island of Sjælland. He also was a State authorised auditor. Tauson was married to a ballet dancer from the Royal Danish Theatre. His great-grandson Michael Tauson was a tennis professional.
At the Stockholm Olympics, Christian placed 16th as the fourth best Danish shooter in the individual event with the free rifle, but was not included in the team event, where Denmark eventually won bronze.
