Anders Lindskog was born in Nysund as the sixth of seven children of a lower clergyman. He later moved to Falun, where he married his wife Gerda Maria Karolina, née Petterson, having one daughter. Lindskog also worked as a merchant. Representing Falun Skyttegille, he participated in running target shooting, single and double shots at the 1912 Olympics, placing sixth in both events. He died just five years after the Olympics, at just 42 years old.
