Albino Carraro

Albino Carraro was an Italian football referee and sports manager. He began refereeing in 1923, and enjoyed the highlight of his career at the 1934 FIFA World Cup when he was in charge of the third-place match between Germany and Austria at Napoli’s Ascarelli Stadium.

Domestically, Carraro refereed 50 matches in the Divisione Nazionale between 1925-29, and 72 in Serie A from 1929-34. He became sporting director of Ambrosiana-Inter (later Inter Milan) in March 1936, replacing Aldo Molinari. In his first season (1935-36), Carraro became Nerazzurri’s joint coach with Gyula Feldmann for the last 15 games of the championship season (10 wins and 5 draws) in which they finished fourth.
