Biography

Elenito Di Liberatore was an assistant referee for Italian football. His day job was as a music teacher from Notaresco. He began as a referee in the lower leagues through 2000, and then became a linesman in the 2000/01 season. In 2006 he débuted in Serie A and in 2009 he was appointed as an international assistant, leading to him officiating at the 2012 London Olympics. He also refereed at the 2013 U17 World Cup and at the Champions League, at the 2016 European Championships, and at the 2018 World Cup.

In December 2016 he was named an honorary citizen of Notaresco, his hometown. From the 2019/20 season he was named to the Referees Technical Commission that supervises the matches of the Third Italian Series.
