Biography

Francesco Liverani refereed his first Serie A game in 1949, and in 169 matches took control of four Roma derbies, and one Milano derby. He was awarded the 1956 Giovanni Mauro Award as Best Referee of the Year and, that same year, obtained his FIFA international badge. At the 1960 Roma Olympics, he refereed one game (Denmark - Argentina) and was linesman to Concetto Lo Bello in the final match between Yugoslavia and Denmark. Liverani retired from refereeing after the Olympics.
