Biography

Miklós Dőry was a renowned Hungarian boxing judge and referee whose career spanned six decades. Dőry gained a diploma in sports management and initially became a boxer before officiating the sport. During his lifetime Dőry served as the president of the Professional Boxing League, the general secretary of the Hungarian Boxing Association, and as the president of the Judges’ Committee. Dőry was a judge and referee for bouts that took place at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. Dőry was awarded with the Golden Iron Ring in 2002 and was named the Judge of the Year in 2007.
