Biography

Born in Asiago in 1930, Pietro Pertile was an Italian ski jumping pioneer. He competed for Gruppo Sciatori Fiamme Gialle and then, in the first half of the 1960s, became the competitive director of the Italian national ski jumping team. His life was an example of dedication to the world of sport that he passed on to his sons Paolo, Sandro, and Ivo. Pietro Pertile was always generous with useful advice, calm in his explanations and analyses, and was considered fair to everyone.
