Biography

Linda Hanley played college volleyball at UCLA, graduating in 1982, and was named All-American in 1980. She played at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics on the beach with Barbra Fontana Harris, just missing a medal as they lost the bronze medal match. During her professional career Hanley played in 217 tournaments with 13 different partners, 25 of them with Fontana Harris. She played on the beach professionally from 1987-2001, winning 44 tournaments, eight on them on the WPVA Tour, 15 on the AVP Tour, and 21 on the P&R Tour. Hanley was actually already a mother of two children at the time of her Olympic participation.
