Biography

Volleyball player Almut Kemperdick was a member of the West German women’s team at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics that finished sixth after losing the match for fifth place against Korea. Kemperdick won more than 100 international caps and participated in the 1983 European Championships. In 2015, she won the Over-50 World Championships.

Kemperdick played with TSV Bayer Dormagen (until 1980), Düsseldorfer VC (1980-82) and SV Lohhof (1982-88, German Champion 1982-84, 1986-88, and German Cup Winner 1982-84 and 1986). By profession, Kemperdick became a dental technologist in München.
