Biography

Volleyball player Andrea Sauvigny was a member of the West German women’s team at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics that finished sixth after losing the match for fifth place against Korea. Sauvigny won more than 100 international caps and participated in the 1983, 1985, 1987 and 1989 European Championships as well as the 1986 Worlds.

Sauvigny played with SG/JDZ Feuerbach (1978-88) and TSG Tübingen (1988-99). She helped Feuerbach to win the German Cup in 1983 and 1987-88. In 1983 she also won the CEV Cup. By profession, she first worked as a senior sports and chemistry teacher until 2009, when she founded her own Institute for Naturopathy at Langenau.
