Biography

Toni Rimrod was a West German volleyball player who competed at the 1972 München home Olympics. The team lost all their preliminary matches against Brazil, Romania, Cuba, East Germany and Japan, but did win their 11th place match against Tunisia. Rimrod earned 148 international caps.

Domestically, he played with TSV 1860 München in 1969-73, helping them win both the West German Championship and the West German Cup in 1973. Rimrod then moved to SSF Bonn and played with them in 1973-78, helping them to win the West German Championship in 1974. He then moved to VBC Paderborn and won the West German Cup in 1981. In 1979 he was elected Volleyball Player of the Year. After his active career he became a sports administrator and coach at Paderborn, and by profession, he was a pharmacist.
