Biography

Renato Vrbičić was a water polo center who won a silver medal at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. He played mostly for three clubs in his domestic career – Solaris, Split Adriatix, and Zagreb Mladost. He was on winning teams at the 1991 and 1992 Champions League, and won the European Cup in 2001 with Mladost. Vrbičić won Croatian Championships in 1997, 1999, and 2002 and won the Croatian Cup in 1998-99. He left Mladost in 2003, and played two seasons in Italy with Catania and Civitavecchia, before returning to Croatia to play a final season with Sibenik.
