Biography

Austrian lightweight weightlifter Anton Zwerina won the silver medal at the 1924 Paris Olympics. He won the International Championships of Bohemia in 1923, and also placed fourth at the World Championships the same year. In 1925, he won the International Championships of Moravia, and placed sixth at the 1926 German Fighting Games.

Domestically, Zwerina never won a title. He finished second at the Wiener (Vienna) Championships in 1923-24, and 1926-27. Unfortunately, he never enjoyed a podium finish at the Austrian nationals.
