Biography
René Marchand, who set a Belgian weightlifting record in 1910, was one of seven Belgian competitors in the weightlifting events at the 1920 Antwerpen Olympics. Competing in the middleweight class, he placed seventh out of 10 competitors, and ahead of his countryman Georges De Proft.
