Biography
Kauko Kangasniemi had the following podium finishes at major championships: 3rd in the 1969 World Championships Heavyweight class (507.5 kg); 2nd in the 1969 European Championships Heavyweight class (507.5 kg); 3rd in the 1972 European Championships Heavyweight class (540.0 kg). He set five heavyweight snatch world records from 1969-71.
