Walter Hauser was a Swiss weightlifter who represented Adler Zürich. In 1972 Hauser was selected to compete in the light-heavyweight event at the München Olympics. After the first element, the military press, he was in 10th place with a lift of 147.5 kg. In the snatch, however, he failed to provide a valid lift, eliminating him from competition.
