Biography
Gary Drinnon competed for the York Barbell Club, after graduating from the University of Tennessee in 1972. He placed second at the AAU meet in both 1975-76 after finishing third in 1974. His career best lifts were a snatch of 157.5 kg., clean & jerk of 202.5 kg., and a total of 360.0 kg. Drinnon later became President of Carolina Paper Board (CPB), based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
