Biography

Sailor Frank Butzmann partnered Kai Falkenthal in the German Star boat at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, held at Savannah, Georgia, placing 10th. In 1996 and 1997, he earned two silver medals at the European Championships partnering non-Olympian Jens Peters. Both also earned German national titles in 1997 and 1999.

Butzmann later became a business executive at his home club Verein Seglerhaus am Wannsee. He was also founder and organizer of the Berlin Match Race.
