Jean-Claude Cornu was a French sailor who, along with Daniel Gouffier, competed in the Flying Dutchman class at the 1960 Roma Olympics where the duo finished in 14th place. A year later the pair won the World Championship in the 505 class in Weymouth, England. In 1966 he teamed with Jean Morin to win the bronze medal in the 470 class at the European Championships. Cornu’s father André Cornu was a noted naval architect who designed the 470 class in 1963.
