Jorge Guillén began to play basketball when he was a child, eventually playing for domestic teams in Spain from 1958 to 1965. Guillén also made 15 appearances for the Spanish national team including playing in the basketball tournament at the 1960 Roma Olympics. After finishing his career as a player he became a doctor, specialising in traumatology. Guillén worked as a doctor for the Spanish basketball and football teams and spent 45 years as the head of medical services for the Joventut Badalona basketball team.
Spain
