Biography
Sailor Peter Lang partnered Albert Batzill in the Flying Dutchman class at the 1988 Seoul (representing West Germany), and 1992 Barcelona Olympics (representing re-unified Germany). They finished eighth and fifth respectively. In 1989, the pair also won the world title. The previous year they won the bronze medal at the European Championships, and in 1993 they won silver medals at the European and World Championships.
In 1991, Lang was awarded the Silver Bay Leaf, Germany’s highest sports award. By profession, Lang co-owned a company offering high-quality and economical solutions for the preservation of cultural assets for archives, museums, libraries, and picture framers.
