Biography

Brian Ledbetter raced the Finn class for the United States at both the 1988 and 1992 Olympics, winning a silver medal at Barcelona in 1992. He also won a Goodwill Games gold medal in 1990. After his Olympic appearances he continued to stay involved in sailing, both in administration and with team crews. He competed in the 2003 America’s Cup trials as operations manager for the OneWorld Team based out of Seattle. Ledbetter later became sailing director at the Seattle Yacht Club, having joined the staff there in 2004. Ledbetter graduated from the US Naval Academy in 1985. He won two collegiate championships while at Navy and was a three-time collegiate sailing All-American.
