Austrian sailor Horst Obermüller participated at the 1948 London Olympics in the two-person keelboat star class. The boat was crewed by Union Yacht Club Abstdorf am Attersee members along with his brother Georg and Hans Schachinger. It is not known in which parts the two of them competed, but they placed 13th.
