Biography

Sailor Hans-Jürgen Pfohe participated in the 1988 Seoul Olympics for the West German team and finished 19th, largely due to the fact that his partner Roland Gäbler broke his hand during the regatta. The previous year the pair won the German national title.

In 1989, Pfohe retired due to professional reasons. He took over his father’s company, Lucia Strickwarenfabrik, until 2007, when he then ran a tennis park at Lüneburg.
