Colin Ryrie was an experienced yachtsman and navigator who was knocked unconscious and drowned when the boat he was driving hit an unlit buoy near Clark Island in Sydney Harbour as he and his wife were returning to their Mosman home from the Royal Prince Edward Yacht Club on 7 July 1972.
