Biography
Erwin Weitzl was Austrian champion in shot put (1979-1986, 1988) and discus throw (1980, 1983, 1986-90). He qualified for the shot at the 1984 Los Angeles Summer Olympics but failed to reach the final and was eliminated in the qualification round. In 1982 and 1983 Weitzl advanced to the shot put finals at the European Indoor Championships and placed 12th and sixth, respectively.
Personal Best: SP – 20.04 (1985).
