Spanish track and field athlete Arturo Peña specialised in long-distance running and won multiple medals at the national championships. Peña won three consecutive Spanish titles in the 10,000 metres from 1927 to 1929, along with two silver medals at the Spanish cross-country championships in 1928 and 1931. He ran in the 5,000 and 10,000 metres at the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics, finishing in 13th place in the latter.
