Biography

Heikki Taskinen was a Finnish track and field athlete who represented Kuopion Sisu-Veikot. Taskinen competed in the discus throw at the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics where he finished 11th with a best effort of 43.00 metres. After the Olympics he won the Finnish athletics title in the pentathlon in 1934. Taskinen also won silver in the discus throw in 1932 and 1936, along with a silver in the pentathlon in 1933.
