Biography

Finnish middle-distance runner Ossi Teileri represented Hämeenlinnan Tarmo in the 1930s. At the national championships Teileri won gold in the 800 metres (1935–36) and the 1,500 metres (1935). These performances earned him a spot on Finland’s team for the 1936 Berlin Olympics. In the 1,500 metres he finished fourth in his heat with only the top three athletes progressing to the final. Teileri was also scheduled to run in the 800 metres in Berlin but did not start the race.

Personal Best: 1500 – 3:54.2 (1936).
