Biography

André Devaux was the 1914 French Champion in the 400 metres. A serious injury prevented him from participating in 1924. Professionally, Devaux was an inspector of post and telecommunications. Later he turned to literature and as a writer won the prestigious Prix Édouard-Herriot in 1954 with his popular book “La Gerbe et le Fagot”.
