Biography

Bruno Bartholome earned the following East German national titles: cross country (7.5 km) in 1951, marathon in 1956, 1958 and 1961, and was runner-up in that event in 1962. In 1957 and 1959 he won his home marathon at Leipzig. At the 1960 Rome Olymic Games he came in 28th. He later became an industrial sales representative, then an officer in the East German Army and an organizer of sports events.

Personal Best: Mar – 2-24:33 (1960).
