Biography

Discus thrower Norbert Thiede came in an unfortunate fourth at the 1976 Montréal Olympics. He participated in two international meets, but the 1976 Olympics was his only international tournament. Thiede was East German champion in 1975 and 1977. He later married shot putter and non-Olympian Petra Hübner.

Personal Best: DT – 66.90 (1976).
