Biography

East German javelin thrower Silvio Warsönke failed to qualify for the final at the 1988 Seoul Olympics. The same year he won his only East German championship and threw an East German record (84.14). One year earlier he was eighth at the East German nationals. Warsönke was a trained electrician and was employed by Elsterland municipality.
